Bring a photo ID.

California law requires ID for precious metals transactions. Driver's license, state ID, or passport works. We log the transaction per statute — nothing unusual, nothing alarming.

Don't repair anything first.

Broken chains, missing earrings, bent rings, scratched pieces — all pay the same per gram as intact items. Weight is what matters. Repairs rarely add value and often cost more than they return.

iii.

Plan about 20 minutes.

That's the typical meet-up time for jewelry or a few coins. Large estate lots take longer — usually about an hour, depending on the number of pieces and whether each needs individual documentation.

iv.

Know your payment option.

Cash for offers up to $5,000. Business check or same-day wire transfer for larger amounts. Wires clear within one to two banking hours. You choose before signing.
