Bullion trades closest to spot.

Investment-grade bullion is the cleanest sale in precious metals. Clear hallmarks, precise weights, recognized mints — the pricing is nearly transparent.

Bullion is the simplest gold we buy. A 1 oz PAMP bar is 31.1 grams of 99.99% pure gold, stamped, serialized, and backed by an assay certificate. We verify the hallmark, weigh the bar, confirm the purity with XRF, and calculate the offer: weight times spot times our payout percentage. That's the whole calculation.

Our payout on recognized bullion runs 88–92% of spot — the tightest margin we offer on any category — because the resale market is so liquid. Bars from recognized LBMA-accredited refiners (PAMP Suisse, Credit Suisse, Valcambi, Johnson Matthey, Perth Mint, Royal Canadian Mint) trade near spot to institutional buyers, so we can pay closer to spot when buying.

For bars in original assay packaging (particularly PAMP CertiPAMP or Kinebar), bring the packaging. It adds modest premium and speeds verification. For older Engelhard, Johnson Matthey, or Credit Suisse bars without original packaging, we verify through XRF and weight — still a clean transaction.

Yes. We XRF-verify each bar for purity and check the hallmark. Bars without the original card are still bought — there may be a slightly wider spread to cover re-assay if the buyer downstream requires it.
